永遠的朋友是1992年巴塞隆納奧運會的主題歌。 amigos para siempre在西班牙語中是「一生的朋友」之意。

最近北京奧運也是徵詢超過十萬首曲子，其中一首的曲子也是永遠的朋友也獲得最後的推薦。畢竟以奧運會為主題的曲目，除了要有民族融合的概念，和平更是其中最重要的中心思想。而Webber在創作這首曲子的時候，也是以這樣的出發點作為創作的概念。

曲目輕快且內容具有深意，這是這首曲子最大的賣點。找Brightman與Carreras合作，更是最重要成功的一點（就像無間道找劉德華與梁朝偉一樣）。

1992年我守在電視前面看奧運的開幕，最令人映像深刻的就是用弓箭點燃聖火的場景，令人感動得快要掉下淚來（那時的我也不知道為啥感動）。而到奧運主題曲播出的時候，正式兩大巨星上場唱出Amigos para siempre，直到兩年後我看到歌詞之後，才對這歌詞產生感覺，畢竟當初我是"菜英文"。

我鄭重推薦這首以經年過二十的曲子，尤其當今年是中國人的奧運會時刻，可以讓我們回想到奧運精神的深意，也可以擺脫漢城奧運愛國裁判不公平的審判情緒（到現在還是依然討厭韓國人這種沒有運動精神的行為）。
